About Vanessa!

Vanessa Buentello is a Texas-based multimedia storyteller focused on creating visual content that captures real moments and real people.

She first picked up a camera as a teenager and quickly realized how powerful visual storytelling could be. What started as photographing local events and sports grew into a career centered around photography, digital media, and creative content production. Vanessa later refined those skills at Texas State University, where she studied public relations and became the Multimedia Editor for The University Star, leading visual coverage and producing award-winning photography and multimedia work.

Her experience spans photography, social media content, and live visual storytelling across sports, events, and editorial coverage. Vanessa has worked with organizations including Texas State Athletics, Texas State Football, and Major League Baseball’s Minor League coverage, producing content designed for digital platforms, publications, and real-time storytelling.

Through her work, Vanessa aims to create images that feel honest and immersive—moments that allow viewers to feel like they were there.
